Orton Manor
Testimonial

On 64-70 Birmingham Road, Water Orton, the tremendous people of Orton Manor Nursing Home are being supported by Sekoia. The endeavor to move into the digital era has been well received, and although breaking new ground both residents and care staff are feeling comfortable using their new tool.

Having primarily been supported by paper based journals till now, the change is of course quite notable. Orton Manor is looking forward to changing in many aspects, especially where the change in itself isn't too frightening. A good place to start has been by reducing the vast amount of staff time spend on administrative tasks. Here the aspirations are high, and the management team already notes a significant reduction of paperwork, to be reinvesting in care and focus on the residents.

Daily Manager Testimonial
"Just wanted to thank you all for your continued support throughout the Implementation process and mainly throughout the go live process. I have had so much great feedback from staff who have used the system in the last 2 days and they already feel it is having a positive impact on the residents and themselves.

Four care staff have commented how already tasks that were before taking them half an hour are now taking less than half of that time which is great that staff feel that way already after such a short time using Sekoia. Even staff who don't feel comfortable usually with technology are using the system with ease and feel extremely proud of this.

I was having a conversation with one of my nurses who agrees with me that we are not sure how we managed to get everything done throughout the day without Sekoia. The staff already seem happier in their work and have more time to spend actually with the residents than completing documentation so for me this part is great and the most important.

All staff I have spoken to are greatly looking forward to when more applications are introduced. Once again thank you all so much!”

How digitalisation supports
decision-making in a care home

Every day managers are facing many decisions. Some easier than others. Digitalisation has the potential to greatly help the process by providing pieces of information that might not be available in a more paper-based care home.

Excessive paperwork is a
double burden for care homes

Understanding how the current paper-based routines look at any given care home, makes us wonder what this is all about. How so much time has come to be allocated to documentation has its reasons and own course. Meanwhile, a lot of time is consumed producing more negativity and constraints than promoting actually improved care outcomes.
